On April 21, 2025, the South Lawn of the White House was once again filled with laughter, joy, and pastel colors as families gathered for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. Continuing our commitment to engagement in the egg industry and sustainability, Hartmann North America proudly participated in this cherished tradition for the second consecutive year.
Over 100 egg farmers and their families from across the country attended the event and volunteered throughout the day. Their energy, dedication, and passion for what they do are on full display at the White House Easter Egg Roll. Their willingness to engage with families, educate children about where their food comes from, and share the joy of farming is what has made this a cherished event for nearly 50 years.
We also want to extend our recognition and admiration to the American Egg Board, whose team organizes this beloved tradition in conjunction with The White House team. From hands-on games to entertaining educational exhibits, their efforts make the White House Easter Egg Roll a memorable experience for all.
Our National Sales and Marketing Director, Mike McGriff, returned to the event for the second year in a row to volunteer alongside farmers and American Egg Board team members. Mike helped kids at the “Hen to Home” station - They learned about egg-packing through a game, where children raced to hand-pack a dozen eggs into Hartmann cartons. These cartons, produced at our Rolla, Missouri facility, are made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper and corrugate material, embodying our dedication to sustainable packaging solutions.
The egg packing game at the “Hen to Home” station brought the excitement of the farm straight to the South Lawn. This interactive station was a hit with kids, offering a hands-on opportunity to learn how eggs are gathered, packed, and eventually arrive at homes across the country. The engagement was heartwarming. Even the United States Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, joined in on the fun, laughing alongside the kids as they balanced the packed egg cartons on their heads, turning the station into an impromptu balancing contest. The laughter and learning at the Head to Home Station perfectly captured the spirit of the day: fostering fun, connection, and a deeper appreciation for where our food comes from and the farmers who get it to tables across America.
Reflecting on the experience, Mike shared, “We were proud to donate egg cartons for the game again this year, and we were excited to help sponsor the annual event to show our continued support for the American Egg Board and America’s egg farmers. It is always a fun event to be a part of – Engaging with the kids is a real highlight.”
Hartmann North America remains committed to supporting egg industry events and those that align with our values of sustainability. We look forward to future opportunities to contribute to traditions like the White House Easter Egg Roll where we can celebrate egg farmers and the incredible egg.
